Kari Mitchum is vice president, payments policy for the Independent Community Bankers of America (ϸ¹·ÊÓƵ). In this role, she advocates payments and bank technology policy issues before financial regulatory agencies, private-sector organizations, and Congress on behalf of the nation’s community banks.

Mitchum has more than 25 years of financial service experience, including nearly 10 years at ϸ¹·ÊÓƵ. Over the course of her career, she has also worked for a payments network, a national banking association, and a $160 billion-asset financial institution where she held senior roles in product strategy, and payments solutions.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va., and a Master of Business Technology from Marymount University in Arlington, Va.
